Written Off – Navigating Rejection and Faith in The Search for Love, Family, and Belonging.
Book One of The Approved in Christ Series
Written Off is a moving and authentic memoir of childhood rejection, emotional wounding, and the restorative power of Christ. With both vulnerability and biblical insight, Lisa Phillips shares her journey through the pain of growing up without the parental blessing, the ache of emotional abandonment, and the quiet fears that shaped her early life.
Drawing from decades of reflection and spiritual growth, Lisa reveals how early wounds can influence identity, relationships, and faith. She guides readers through the hidden symptoms of rejection such as perfectionism, people pleasing, fear of failure, and the longing for approval. Through her story, readers discover how truth and scripture can break destructive cycles and rebuild a secure identity in Christ.
Written Off is the first book in a three-part series that traces the path from rejection to renewal. Future books will continue Lisa’s spiritual journey as she uncovers generational patterns, confronts spiritual strongholds, and walks into emotional freedom.
This book is a hopeful companion for anyone who has felt unseen, unheard, or undervalued. It offers encouragement, healing, and the assurance that God restores what has been broken.
